Single-vehicle crash claims life of Lowndesboro man

A single-vehicle crash on a Lowndes County road today (Monday) claimed the life of a Lowndesboro man, according to State Troopers.
“Jerry Albritton, 47, was killed when the 1988 Mack log truck he was driving left the roadway in a curve and overturned,” said Sgt. Steve Jarrett of the Alabama Department of Public Safety.
The crash occurred at 2:30 p.m. on Lowndes County Road 7, Jarrett said.
Nothing further is available as state troopers continue to investigate.
