Mississippi man arrested for marijuana possession

A Mississippi man was arrested Friday, Aug. 15 by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit for possession of marijuana in the first degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a report from the Special Operations Unit, Patrick Charles Foster, 62, of Jackson, Miss. was arrested on the charges in connection with an investigation following the serving of a search warrant on Macedonia Road in the Minter Community.
According to the Unit, “The warrant was due to information that was received that there was trafficking of marijuana taking place.” Also, “During the search there was marijuana found at the residence along with several firearms.”
Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office personnel reported that Foster, a white male, remained in custody at the John Hulett Detention Facility in Hayneville as of Monday on a $10,000 property bond.
