The Family Service Center of Lowndes County, a program of Family Guidance Center of Alabama, will host the 11th Annual Food Pantry event in partnership with the Montgomery Area Food Bank.
The event will take place on Friday, April 17, 2015, 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Hayneville Baptist Church, located on State Highway 21 in Hayneville.
This event provides food items at no cost to eligible, pre-registered families in Lowndes County.
In preparation for this year’s event, families will have to pre-register beginning Monday, March 2, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Call-in or written registrations are accepted at the Family Service Center, located at 22 Washington Street North in Hayneville.
Families must pre-register and a limited number of applications will be accepted.
The Family Service Center is pleased to offer the Food Pantry Event as part of its array of services.
The Center and its many services have been meeting the needs of Lowndes County families for the past 11 years.
Following the fire in June that destroyed the Center’s former location, the Center has re-opened in its new location in the former Hayneville library, between the Court House Annex and QV gas station.
Many free services are available and Lowndes County families are encouraged to explore how the Center can help.
