Arrest made in connection with Lowndesboro marijuana growing operation

A tip led the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit, agents from the 4th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) to a marijuana growing operation in Lowndesboro on Thursday. And one arrest was made.
According to a press release provided by Agent J.K. Barnes of the Lowndes County Special Operations Unit, Thursday, a tip led to a marijuana growing operation in Lowndesboro. And, according to the release, “There were several plants recovered and marijuana in different stages of growing, drying and packaging.”
It was reported the agents arrested one black male, Jessie Rashidi Williams, age 41, of Lowndesboro for manufacturing in the first degree and possession of marijuana in the first degree in relation to the case.
