Lowndes Sheriff’s Office seeks Stokes for felony assault

Jeremy Marvin of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that the Sheriff’s Office is seeking David Harold Stokes, 53, of Butler County, for two counts of felony assault in the second degree.
Marvin said Stokes is known to frequent Fort Deposit and Greenville. He said, “Stokes is usually armed with a shot gun in his vehicle.” He also said,
Stokes will be driving a blue Chevrolet pickup truck with no tag on it, or he will be driving an 80’s model white Chevy Corvette.
“He is to be considered armed and dangerous,” Marvin said. “If anyone has any information as to his location. Please contact the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office at 334-548-2151 or Inv. Marvin at 334-419-0010.”
