The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people Monday in connection with a shots fired incident in Fort Deposit.
Lowndes County Investigator Jeremy Marvin said, “There was a disturbance / shots fired call in the area of Edgewood Street and Pollard Street in Fort Deposit.”
He said he and Fort Deposit Police Chief Terry Steiner responded to the area, and a suspect vehicle description was given over the radio as a black Chevy Trailblazer leaving the area.
“The vehicle was spotted by myself and Chief Steiner. A traffic stop was made on Pollard Street. One of the passengers fled the vehicle on foot, I chased him and caught him and took him into custody,” Marvin said.
He said three subjects arrested were identified as Jeremy Goldsmith, L. C. Hinson, and Henry Hall.
Marvin said he processed the vehicle and located “an illegally possessed firearm that belonged to Hinson. “
He said all subjects were charged with disorderly conduct.
Marvin said Hinson was also charged with attempting to elude law enforcement and unlawfully possessing a firearm.
“All subjects were transported to the Lowndes County Jail without incident,” he said.
