According to a report in the Panama City New Hearald, four Alabama men, including two who were arrested by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Panama City Beach, Fla.
Deshon Holloway, 19, of Montgomery, was arrested on a charge of attempted murder in connection with the armed robbery.
Aldetrice Demond Murphy of Montgomery, 19, Markeazz Umbray Holcombe, 19, and Steven Flowers, 22, both of Hayneville, were each charged with armed robbery.
According to Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office arrest reports. Umbray was arrested for possession of marijuana in the first degree on April 14. And Murphy was arrested to be held for Florida on April 17.
Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Jeremy Marvin, said of Holcombe and Murphy, all we did was arrest them. We didn’t have any investigation on them… all we did was arrest them on the charges that they had in Florida.
According to the Panama City News Herald, Holloway, 19, of Montgomery, was charged with attempted murder in the near fatal shooting of Roderick Sistrunk, 23, on March 26 during the robbery. He is being held in the Bay County Jail on $250,000 bond.
Murphy, Holcombe, and Flowers were charged with armed robbery for which bond was set at $50,000.
According to the news reports, Holloway was accused of shooting Sistrunk during the day at close range in the parking lot of a La Quinta hotel. And police said all four men ambushed Sistrunk and robbed him of a speaker and an AK-47 he was trying to sell.
It was also reported that three of the men were members of an Alabama rap group, but Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office personnel said they had no knowledge of that.
