ALEA seeks information concerning body found in Lowndes County

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency/Alabama State Bureau of Investigation is conducting a death investigation of Shmeko Shontae Sturdivant whose body was found off Benton Road (Lowndes County 40) in Lowndes County.
Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Jeremy Marvin said the body had been set on fire and dumped on the side of the road.
He said the body was discovered about 4:30 p.m. Monday by a passerby who contacted the sheriff’s office.
The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is requesting information which could lead to the successful resolution of the cases.

Corporal Jess Thornton of ALEA said the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance with the case.
