The Lowndes County Improvement Association (LCIA), dedicated to bringing a Lowndes County General Hospital and medical center complex to Lowndes County and the creation of a Hayneville Area Chamber of Commerce drew some movers in business, economic development and education to its September meeting. From left are Reuben Gardner of Reuben’s Construction Company in Prattville, Lowndes County School Superintendent Dr. Daniel Boyd, Jim Byard Jr., economic development director for the Lowndes County Economic Development Commission (LCEDC), Tucson Roberts, consultant to the LCEDC, Bridgette King, manager of Flying J in Hope Hull, Andrea Rogers Mosley, center director for the Alabama Small Business Center at Alabama State University, and Dr. O.L. Hubert, president of the LCIA, were all on hand for the LCIA meeting held Thursday, Sept. 1 at Hayneville Church Christ.
