Lowndes Academy will be closed Friday due to the school’s deer hunt and Lowndes County Public Schools will be closed Friday due to weather related road concerns. However, Lowndes County EMA Director David Butts said county offices will be open Friday.He said roads and bridges in the county are deemed impassible until 8 a.m. Friday at which time they will be reassessed.
