The Lowndes Academy varsity boys and girls advanced in the Regional Playoffs at Macon East Friday and will play again Saturday.

The Lowndes Academy varsity boys defeated Autauga Academy 70-57 and will play Macon East Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

Lowndes Academy, which improved to 11-6 on the season, was led by Kason Williams with 20 points, Mosely Higgins with 17 points and Jon Johnson with 12 points.

The varsity girls defeated Emmanuel Christian 46-14 to improve to 9-8 on the season and will face Autauga at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Lowndes Academy was led by Hannah Till with 11 points while both Hannah Rogers and Madolynn Headley chipped in for 7 points each.
