At 5:30 pm, Alabama Power crews and crews from other states continue work to restore power to customers affected by yesterday’s severe weather.  Currently, there exist 2,900 Alabama Power customers without service in central Alabama (statewide, the number is approximately 22,000). The following is a current breakdown of outages in central Alabama:

Dallas County (230 customers)

Butler County (530 customers)

Elmore County (480 customers)

Montgomery County (310 customers)

Perry County (390 customers)

Tallapoosa County (120 customers)

Wilcox County (150 customers
