As Governor Kay Ivey has declared a state of emergency with concerns of icy road conditions, erring on the side of caution and with safety of students as a top priority, Lowndes Academy Headmaster Barry Mohun has announced Lowndes Academy will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 29.
Also, due to the threat of inclement weather, the Central Office and all schools in the Lowndes County Public School System will be closed on Tuesday, January 29.
