Big wins during Lowndes Varsity Christmas Tournament

The Lowndes Academy varsity boys and girls obtained championship wins following the Lowndes Academy Christmas Tournament.
The varsity girls dominated the first round against Crenshaw Christian Academy with a 72-18 win.
Molly Powell & Haley Briggs had a double-double.
Briggs led the team with 18 points, ten rebounds, and one steal.
Powell scored 17 points with nine rebounds, ten assists, and three steals.
Harley Hooper scored 12 points with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Alice Murchison scored 10 points with one assist and one steal.
CJ Forest scored five points with one block and made one of her three two-point shot attempts.
Ashlyn Holly scored four points with three rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block.
Abigail Glushick, Bentley Hall, and Haylon Self scored two points.
The varsity boys won their game against Crenshaw Christian Academy 76-54.
Colby Briggs was the lead scorer for the boys with 22 points, seven rebounds, and one block.
Clayton Hussey scored 20 points with four rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Trey Thomas scored 10 points with five rebounds.
Parker Lee Harris and Jackson Self scored six points, and Luke Lovell scored five points.
In the final round, the varsity girls defeated Southern Academy 44-36.
Briggs was the lead scorer with 18 points, seven rebounds, and one assist.
Glushick scored 10 points with five rebounds, three assists, four steals, and one block.
Powell scored eight points with six rebounds, nine assists, and three steals.
Ashlyn Holley scored six points with five rebounds and two steals.
Harley Hooper scored two points with one rebound, one assist, and one steal.
The varsity boys defeated Hooper Academy in their final round, 64-40.
Briggs was the lead scorer with 16 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.
Harris scored 12 points with one rebound, one assist, and four steals.
Jackson Self scored 11 points with four rebounds, one assist, and seven steals.
Hussey scored nine points with two rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block.
Lovell scored seven points with four rebounds and one steal.
Thomas scored six points with three rebounds and three steals.
Ashton Yelder scored two points with seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Tyler Tyus scored one point with one rebound, one assist, and four steals.
Haley Briggs and Colby Briggs were named Most Valuable Players after the tournament.
Harley Hooper, Molly Powell, Parker Lee Harris, and Clayton Hussey were awarded All-Tournament Team.
After the tournament, the varsity girls’ record is 5-2 with four straight wins.
