Webb voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week

Jamarcus Webb is a Junior at Central High School. He has played football and is ecstatic about the arrival of the baseball season. He is also a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). He wants to take baseball to the next level in college.
Grant Casey is a Lowndes Academy sophomore who plays varsity baseball for the Rebels. On the mound, Casey pitched four innings and struck out two batters last week in the Rebels Defeat of Edgewood Academy while earning six hits at bat.
Ahmiya Giles is a student-athlete at The Calhoun School. She plays basketball and softball for the Lady Tigers and is a member of the Mighty Marching Tigers band. Giles also maintains a 3.23 grade point average (GPA).

Jamarcus Webb has been voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week for Week 22. He is a junior at Central High School. He has played football and is ecstatic about the arrival of the baseball season. He is also a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). He wants to take baseball to the next level in college. Webb won this week’s award by receiving 74%, 772 out of 1,045, of the votes.
Grant Casey from Lowndes Academy and Ahmiya Giles from The Calhoun School were also nominated for their athleticism and setting the standard for excellence on and off the court. Congratulations to Webb and all athletes nominated this week.
Athlete of the Week is made possible by the joint efforts of The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Public Schools Athletic Director Nickles Rankins, and through the cooperation of the coaches and administration of Central High School, Lowndes Academy, and The Calhoun School.
