Webb voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week

Ameria Maull is voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week for Week 23.
Davyon Lewis is a sophomore at The Calhoun School who plays football and competes in track and field for the Tigers. He also works hard in the classroom to maintain a 3.5 grade point average (GPA). “He's an amazing student athlete that really cares about his teammates and classmates,” said The Calhoun School head coach Ervin Starr. “His teachers often speak of his wonderful character and leadership qualities.”
Lowndes Academy’s Catie Wallace Self plays softball at Lowndes Academy. She went 5-7 at bat with three RBIs in this week’s games against Macon East and Hooper Academy.

Ameria Maull has been voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week for Week 23. She is a senior at Central High School in Hayneville. She plays basketball for the Lions and sets an example for others with her athleticism and dedication.
Maull won this week’s award by receiving 76%, 122 out of 160, of the votes.
Catie Wallace Self from Lowndes Academy and Davyon Lewis from The Calhoun School were also nominated for their athleticism and setting the standard for excellence on and off the court. Congratulations to Maull and all athletes nominated this week.
Athlete of the Week is made possible by the joint efforts of The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Public Schools Athletic Director Nickles Rankins, and through the cooperation of the coaches and administration of Central High School, Lowndes Academy, and The Calhoun School.
