The Calhoun School Running Tigers track team competed for the first time this season at the Covington County Meet 3 in Andalusia on March 14. Several student athletes were in the Top 10 performers: Keonte Abrams earned fourth place in the 400-meter dash and first place in the 800-meter run; Robert Sellers, Jr. came in sixth place for the 1600-meter run, ninth place in the boys’ 4 x 100 relax and fourth place in the boys’ 4 x 400 meter relay; Tyler Robertson won sixth place in the high jump; Tygerrick Coleman placed 10th in the high jump; Bryan Lambert earned 10th place for shot out, Adrianna Mason got seventh place in the 400-meter dash; Layla Gary clinched first place in the 800-meter run and Layla Oliphant achieved sixth place in the 100-meter hurdles, fourth place in girls’ 4 x 100 meter relay, second in girls’ 4 x 400-meter relay and fifth place in girls’ 4x 800 meter relay.
