Hussey voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week

Clayton Hussey has been voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week for Week 28 on April 16. He is a senior at Lowndes Academy.
Hussey placed first in high jump and placed third in the triple jump events on Thursday at the 2024 Gulf Shores AISA Outdoor Track & Field State Championship. He won this week’s award by receiving 86%, 508 out of 592, of the votes.
Charles Robinson from Central High School in Hayneville and Kentavius Loften from The Calhoun School were also nominated for their athleticism and setting the standard for excellence on and off the court. Congratulations to Hussey and all the student-athletes for being nominated this week.
Athlete of the Week is made possible by the joint efforts of The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Public Schools Athletic Director Nickles Rankins, and through the cooperation of the coaches and administration of Central High School, Lowndes Academy, and The Calhoun School.
