Webb voted Athlete of the 2024 Spring Season

Jamarcus Webb has been voted Lowndes County Athlete of the 2024 Fall Season. He emerged the winner by gaining 14,745 votes, 55% of the 26,699 votes cast.
Webb came to the competition by winning Athlete of the Week for Week 22 after receiving 772 votes, 74% of the 1,045 votes cast. He is a junior at Central High School who has played football and is ecstatic about the arrival of the baseball season.
Webb is also a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). He wants to take baseball to the next level in college.
Coming in second was Jakobian Davis, a junior at Central, with 7,980 votes. In third place was Lowndes Academy senior Clayton Hussey with 2,586 votes. Also in the running because of their athleticism and setting the standard for excellence on the field or court and in the classroom were J[‘Vion Gordon, Talea Reid, Shamirria Rudolph, Iyanis Wallas, Julissa Murphy, Ameria Maull, Jamaxin Lewis, Courtney Johnson and Jakobian Davis from Central and Tyler Robertson, Alivia Mason, Taylor Robertson and Lamar Tolliver from The Calhoun School. Congratulations to Webb and all the student-athletes for being nominated this week.
Athlete of the Season is made possible by the joint efforts of The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Public Schools Athletic Director Nickles Rankins, and through the cooperation of the coaches and administration of Central High School, Lowndes Academy, and The Calhoun School.
