Tour of Wellness returns to Hayneville

“A Tour of Wellness” health fair coming to Hayneville in June will feature local organizations and vendors, free refreshments, door prizes, health and wellness services, and fun activities for the entire family.

The Wellness Coalition is hosting its third annual multi-city “A Tour of Wellness” community health fairs in the River Region, and will return to Hayneville June 29 on the Hayneville Town Square. The event is free, family-friendly, and features local organizations, vendors, and activities focusing on health and wellness.

“We are excited to return to Montgomery for A Tour of Wellness, especially after the success of this event last year,” said Na’Sha DeRamus, community coordinator for The Wellness Coalition. “These events are a fun and easy way for residents to learn about and access free and low-cost health resources available to them.”

Attendees will be able to connect with local agencies and vendors about free programs and services, including rapid COVID-19 and flu testing, breastfeeding and maternal support, diabetes prevention and management, STI resources and testing, health insurance enrollment assistance, wellness case management services, no-cost wellness programs, healthy nutrition support, adult vaccination resources, stress management, women’s health support, substance abuse support, safe physical activity for your lifestyle, sickle cell disease resources, veteran’s services and support,Medicaid and Medicare resources, life insurance and investing and financial wellness planning.

Attendees can also enjoy free lunch (while supplies last), refreshments from Buffalo Rock, a bouncy house and coloring sheets for the kids, door prizes and more.

The June 29 Hayneville event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“As The Wellness Coalition expands its reach to provide more services to more people, we hope to encourage even more River Region residents to take charge of their health,” said DeRamus. “Our goal is for families to have a great time while finding free and low-cost support to improve their well-being throughout their lives.”
