How often have you heard that saving for life’s unexpected events is very important and a necessary part of being financially prepared?
Lowndes County Public Schools Head Start held America Saves Week 2024 on April 8-12. The annual emphasis is an opportunity for individuals to assess their savings and take financial action.
Although America Saves week was held during the month of April, John Lyon, Cadence Community Bank President conducted the training titled, “Financial Literacy 101” on March 13. Lyon provided a wealth of information and handouts to assist with the process of becoming good stewards regarding financial literacy.
Lowndes County Board of Education Head Start would like to thank Mr. Lyon for presenting this most informative and beneficial workshop.
Participants in the America Saves week program were Pamela Myles and Tenease Lawrence from Central Head Start, James Gray, Aundrey Fountain and Kendra Gray Sprott from Fort Dale Head Start and Family Advocate Practitioner Equinda Peterson.
