High school students employed by the Black Belt Unincorporated Wastewater Program (BBUWP) completed a home inspection Tuesday for 95-year-old Lowndes County resident Imogene Gardner. The inspection assesses a home for needed plumbing and sewer system repairs and the organization employs high school students to offer on-the-job training to area teens. The inspections are one of the preliminary steps completed to help homeowners qualify for assistance through the program aimed at solving the area’s decades-old wastewater disposal problems.
