Eron Foster has been voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week for Week 1. He plays football, No. 0, at Central High School and head coach Julian Little said Foster is the guy that you need more of around the school, community and team; he doesn’t say much, he just goes about his business.
“You don’t have to look for him because he will be where he needs to be, when he needs to be there,” Little said.
Foster won this week’s award by receiving 53%, 203 out of 382, of the votes.
Bradyn Stokes from Lowndes Academy and Kaleb Bibb from The Calhoun School were also nominated for their athleticism and setting the standard for excellence on and off the field. Congratulations to Stokes and Bibb for being nominated this week.
Athlete of the Week is made possible by the joint efforts of The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Public Schools Athletic Director Ervin Starr and sponsors, the Black Belt Unincorporated Wastewater Program and the Hayneville QV, as well as the cooperation of the coaches and administration of Central High School, Lowndes Academy, and The Calhoun School.
