Dear Commissioner Harris,

I am writing to let you know how disappointed I am in the lack of governance exhibited by your vote to arrest Sheriff West.

I understand that the meeting got heated and, in many cases, disrespectful by both sides. However, this was not the way to solve this disagreement. While the public should be aware of deliberations of the Board, you had a chance to deal with this in your executive session, yet you were in the majority vote to have a warrant issued for Sheriff West. Shame on you!

I continue to spend many days in Lowndes County and have paid ad-valorem as well as sales and use taxes in the county for over 50 years.
