Fall is finally here and local high schools are well into their 2024-25 sports season. We have the opportunity to get into the game and support their efforts by voting for Lowndes County Athlete of the Week.

Nominated for recognition this week are Jakobian Davis from Central High School, Lowndes Academy’s Ford Walker and Kamelia Hinter, student-athlete at The Calhoun School.

The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Athletics are partnering to elevate our young men and women in the Athlete of the Week contest. Thanks to the help of Calhoun Lighthouse, Lowndes Academy and Central High School, Hayneville and our sponsors Blackbelt Unincorporated Wastewater Project and Hayneville QV, we have an opportunity to encourage student-athletes and reward their dedication.
