Suspect wanted for Dollar General robbery

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office requests the public’s help with information about an armed robbery in Letohatchee.
Just before 8 p.m. on Sept. 22 an unidentified individual entered the Dollar General in Letohatchee carrying a weapon. Surveillance video from the store marks the time of the robbery at 7:59 p.m. and shows a suspect wearing black pants, a black hoodie, gloves, white shoes and a mask or face covering.
“An individual walks up and enters the store armed with a silver handgun,” said Sheriff’s Commander of Investigations Tony Green. “He robbed the store for an unknown amount of money. It was around $200 but we don’t know the exact amount.”
According to Green, no one was injured during the robbery. No other information is available, but investigators are asking the public to come forward with any information they may have related to the robbery.
