The Calhoun School has released the names of honor roll students for the first nine weeks of school.

Calhoun’s Principal Nicholas Townsend said the list is an indicator, revealing the students’ efforts to excel in their studies.

“In sheer numbers, this is the largest group of kids we’ve had at one time being on honor roll,” Townsend said. “It shows the [level of] difficulty that students have achieved and the time that they’re spending at home after hours. There are quite a few athletes that are on that list that have extracurricular activities, band members and cheerleaders who do all those extracurricular activities, and then have to go home and study and do homework and things of that nature.”
