The Lowndes County Area Chamber of Commerce held its regular monthly meeting on Nov. 14 and recognizes local business owner Cynthia Payton Carter. As the owner of Perfect Blend Salon in Hayneville and the chamber’s secretary/treasurer, Hubert Carter’s efforts are greatly appreciated.
Carter is a foundational community member and has been the owner and operator of Perfect Blend Salon for 40 yrs. She and her cousin started the business June 1, 1984.
“Owning her own salon was one of her goals in life among many others,” Hubert said. “Her mission has always been to make everyone that sits in her styling chair feel special on the outside and inside as well. She praises God for all of her successes in life.
The group honored Carter with a commemorative plaque and flowers. Andrea Mosley, director of the Small Business Development Center at Alabama State University in Montgomery was slated to attend as the keynote speaker but was unable to attend.
