Jax State names Briggins, Gordon to honors lists

Gabrielle Michelle Briggins of Tyler has been named to the Dean’s List at Jacksonville State University (JSU) for her outstanding academic performance over the fall 2024 semester. She graduated with honors from Central High School in Hayneville in May 2024 and pursues a double major in studio art and entrepreneurship.

To be named to the Dean’s List, students must earn a 3.5 – 3.99 grade point average (GPA) for the semester while completing at least 12 GPA hours of course credit.

Tyler Anthony Johnson of Luverne was also named to the JSU Dean’s List. He is a graduate of Luverne High School where he was a member of the Luverne Tigers Marching Band.

The university also named Summer Gordon of Hope Hull to its President’s List. More than 1,200 students earned the honor and were named to the list for earning a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester while completing at least 12 hours.
