The Lowndes County Board of Education Head Start joined forces with community partners to supply a few local families with Christmas meals.

The program partnered with Bates Turkey Farm, Hayneville Associated Grocers and Priester’s Pecans to provide three Head Start families with a meal for Christmas. The three families selected were the Jones family from Central Head Start, the Mack/Taylor family from Fort Deposit Head Start and the Knight family from Jackson-Steele Head Start.

The families received the Christmas meals on Dec. 19, 2024.
